- Market orders: Immediate fill at the best available price; fast, but subject to slippage in thin or fast markets (expected and max slippage shown before you submit).
- Limit orders: Fills at your price or better, resting until matched or cancelled; passive fills that rest on the book can earn maker rebates upon matching.
- Stop-market / stop-limit orders: Activates when the mark price crosses your trigger, then executes as a market order (stop-market) or places a limit (stop-limit). Triggers on the mark price, not the last price, to avoid triggering on stray prints.
- Take-profit / stop-loss: Conditional orders that close a position when the mark hits a target or threshold; attach to an open position or set at entry. Also mark-price-based.
