You can find more information on the testnet on [docs.arcus.xyz](http://docs.arcus.xyz). # Are there bridge fees? Source: https://help.arcus.xyz/faq/arcus-perps-faq/fees/are-there-bridge-fees Yes, when moving collateral on or off Robinhood Chain. They vary by route and provider - CCTP transfers carry minimal fees; third-party bridges may charge variable fees by liquidity and route. The deposit and withdrawal interface shows the full breakdown - bridge fee, gas estimate, total received - before you confirm. Arcus adds no fee on top. # Are there gas fees on every action? Source: https://help.arcus.xyz/faq/arcus-perps-faq/fees/are-there-gas-fees-on-every-action No. Placing, modifying, and cancelling orders doesn't incur per-action gas - order management is handled by the protocol. # Are there hidden fees? Source: https://help.arcus.xyz/faq/arcus-perps-faq/fees/are-there-hidden-fees No. Trading fees are shown before you submit; funding rates display continuously per market; bridge and network costs appear before you confirm. The full schedule is in the Arcus docs. # Are there maker rebates? Source: https://help.arcus.xyz/faq/arcus-perps-faq/fees/are-there-maker-rebates Yes. Tiers 5 and 6 earn maker rebates of −0.002% and −0.003% respectively, and these are unchanged during beta. Maker fees are currently zero (Tiers 0 through 4), so during beta you either pay nothing to make or you are paid to make. Source: https://help.arcus.xyz/faq/arcus-perps-faq/fees/can-volume-be-aggregated-across-sub-accounts-for-fee-tiers Yes. Volume across sub-accounts under the same master wallet aggregates for tier qualification, so institutions running multiple strategies under one entity progress on combined volume rather than fragmenting it. # Do I pay funding on top of trading fees? Source: https://help.arcus.xyz/faq/arcus-perps-faq/fees/do-i-pay-funding-on-top-of-trading-fees Yes - they're separate. Trading fees are charged on execution (maker or taker). Funding is exchanged at intervals based on the perp's basis to the underlying, paid between longs and shorts, not to the protocol. Both apply independently. # How are rebates paid - instantly or in epochs/periodic? Source: https://help.arcus.xyz/faq/arcus-perps-faq/fees/how-are-rebates-paid-instantly-or-in-epochs-periodic Maker rebates accrue on each qualifying fill and are credited to your collateral balance. # How do I qualify for lower fees? During beta, discounted rates already apply at every tier: taker fees are halved, and maker fees are zero for Tiers 0 through 4. Climbing tiers during beta still lowers your taker rate and, at Tiers 5 and 6, earns maker rebates. # What are maker fees? Source: https://help.arcus.xyz/faq/arcus-perps-faq/fees/what-are-maker-fees Charged on orders that add liquidity - limit orders that rest until matched. Makers build market depth, so the fee structure rewards them with lower fees and, at higher volume tiers, rebates. Source: https://help.arcus.xyz/faq/arcus-perps-faq/funding/how-are-funding-rates-calculated **Regular Trading Hours:** The perpetual funding rate is calculated from two components: * the premium component (perpetual contract vs. underlying) * added to a base component (fixed at SOFR + 0.5%) During regular hours, the premium is sampled continuously by comparing the price of the perpetual contract vs. the price of the underlying asset. **Outside Regular Trading Hours:** The rate snaps to the fixed financing rate (SOFR + 0.5%) and the basis component is dropped: * so positions held overnight or over a weekend don't face shifting funding. **Corporate actions:** these trigger separate automatic adjustments when the oracle reflects the event, keeping the perp aligned with the underlying's total return. # How is funding charged for my position? Source: https://help.arcus.xyz/faq/arcus-perps-faq/funding/how-is-funding-charged-for-my-position At each interval, based on your notional and the prevailing rate. Longs pay when funding is positive and receive when negative; shorts are the opposite. Settles automatically in USD. # How often is funding paid? Source: https://help.arcus.xyz/faq/arcus-perps-faq/funding/how-often-is-funding-paid Hourly during the underlying's regular hours, applied to position notional and settled automatically in USD. The annualized rate is divided by 8,760 - 24×365 - for the hourly figure; that scale factor is sometimes mistaken for an 8-hour interval, but payments are hourly. Outside regular hours it's fixed at SOFR + 0.5% until trading resumes. # What is the funding rate? Source: https://help.arcus.xyz/faq/arcus-perps-faq/funding/what-is-the-funding-rate The periodic payment between longs and shorts that helps to keep the price of the perpetual contract tethered to the price of the underlying. Positive funding means longs pay shorts (perp above the underlying); negative means shorts pay longs. Funding payments are USD-denominated and are paid or received in proportion to position notional size (USD). # Where do I see the current funding rate and my funding payments? Source: https://help.arcus.xyz/faq/arcus-perps-faq/funding/where-do-i-see-the-current-funding-rate-and-my-funding-payments Each market shows its current rate and the time to the next funding on the asset page. Funding you've paid or received settles hourly in USD and appears either on the [perps page](https://app.arcus.xyz/trade/perpetuals) under *payments* or on the [portfolio page](https://app.arcus.xyz/portfolio) under *funding*. # Can I hold both long and short on the same market (hedge mode)? Source: https://help.arcus.xyz/faq/arcus-perps-faq/margin-leverage-positions/can-i-hold-both-long-and-short-on-the-same-market-hedge-mode Not at launch - positions on the same market net to one. If you need hedge-mode exposure, you can replicate it across sub-accounts where supported. # Can I switch margin modes mid-position? Source: https://help.arcus.xyz/faq/arcus-perps-faq/margin-leverage-positions/can-i-switch-margin-modes-mid-position Isolated margin isn't available at launch (cross-only), so there's no mode switch yet. When isolated ships in a later release, switching cross→isolated will ringfence a specified amount of collateral and isolated→cross will release it back into the shared pool. # Can I use sub-accounts? Source: https://help.arcus.xyz/faq/arcus-perps-faq/margin-leverage-positions/can-i-use-sub-accounts Yes - you can run multiple sub-accounts under one master wallet to separate strategies or ring-fence risk. Each sub-account is its own cross-margined unit (positions and margin tracked per sub-account), while fee-tier volume aggregates across all of them under the master wallet, so you progress on combined volume. *** # How are positions netted? Source: https://help.arcus.xyz/faq/arcus-perps-faq/margin-leverage-positions/how-are-positions-netted Arcus runs in net mode - positions on the same market combine into one. Buy 1 NVDA-PERP then sell 0.5, and you hold a single 0.5 long, not two positions. Netting keeps margin accounting simple and is standard for institutional perp venues. # How do I set or change my leverage on a market? Source: https://help.arcus.xyz/faq/arcus-perps-faq/margin-leverage-positions/how-do-i-set-or-change-my-leverage-on-a-market Set your leverage per market (up to that market's maximum) in the interface or via the API to ensure that any actions you take on the market maintain sufficient margin on your positions so as to avoid exceeding your target leverage. Adjusting the leverage slider on a market after opening a cross-margined position will not affect your liquidation price for that position. # How is PnL calculated? Source: https://help.arcus.xyz/faq/arcus-perps-faq/margin-leverage-positions/how-is-pnl-calculated The difference between entry and exit price, times the size closed, net of trading fees and any funding paid or received over the position's life. It settles in USD, credited to or debited from your collateral when you close. # How is unrealized PnL calculated? Source: https://help.arcus.xyz/faq/arcus-perps-faq/margin-leverage-positions/how-is-unrealized-pnl-calculated The difference between your entry price and the current mark price, times position size. Longs gain when the mark rises above entry; shorts gain when it falls below. It updates continuously and feeds the account equity used for margin. It becomes realized when you close. # What can I use as collateral for perps? Source: https://help.arcus.xyz/faq/arcus-perps-faq/margin-leverage-positions/what-can-i-use-as-collateral-for-perps USDG is the only collateral asset supported at launch - every position is margined and settled in USDG. **Multi-asset collateral** (BTC, ETH, and Stock Tokens) is on the roadmap; until then, Stock Tokens cannot be used to back perps positions. # What is the initial margin requirement? Source: https://help.arcus.xyz/faq/arcus-perps-faq/margin-leverage-positions/what-is-the-initial-margin-requirement The collateral needed to open a position - position notional divided by your selected leverage. It varies by market based on liquidity and volatility. Outside regular trading hours it rises +50%, so an off-hours position requires more collateral to open than the same one opened during regular hours. Maintenance margin doesn't change off-hours, so existing positions and the liquidation prices of positions aren't affected. When the underlying reopens, the requirement steps back down and the extra collateral is released automatically. # What is the maintenance margin? Source: https://help.arcus.xyz/faq/arcus-perps-faq/margin-leverage-positions/what-is-the-maintenance-margin The minimum collateral to keep a position open, a percentage of notional that varies by market. Fall below it and the position enters liquidation. It doesn't change between regular and off-hours. Per-market parameters are in the Arcus docs. # What's the default margin mode? Source: https://help.arcus.xyz/faq/arcus-perps-faq/margin-leverage-positions/what-s-the-default-margin-mode Cross margin - the most capital-efficient setup for running multiple positions, and the only mode at launch (isolated is planned). # What's the difference between cross and isolated margin? Source: https://help.arcus.xyz/faq/arcus-perps-faq/margin-leverage-positions/what-s-the-difference-between-cross-and-isolated-margin Cross margin backs every position with your full account collateral, sharing PnL and margin - a winning position in your account can offset a losing position, and liquidation happens only when total equity falls below combined maintenance margin. Isolated margin allocates a fixed amount to one position: losses can't exceed it, but profits elsewhere can't rescue it. Cross is more capital-efficient; isolated is more contained. **Arcus runs cross-only at launch**; isolated margin is planned. # What's the maximum leverage per market? Source: https://help.arcus.xyz/faq/arcus-perps-faq/margin-leverage-positions/what-s-the-maximum-leverage-per-market Up to 50x at launch. Major equity, crypto, and index perps support the top tier; thinner or more volatile markets carry higher initial margin requirements and thus support a lower leverage ratio. The maximum leverage by market is published with the launch market list and shown in the interface. # Can the community propose new markets? Source: https://help.arcus.xyz/faq/arcus-perps-faq/markets/can-the-community-propose-new-markets Listings are set by Arcus at launch, based on liquidity, market-maker readiness, and risk approvals. Source: https://help.arcus.xyz/faq/arcus-perps-faq/markets/why-does-leverage-vary-by-market It's set to each market's liquidity and volatility. Deep, high-volume names absorb liquidations with little slippage and carry the highest leverage; thinner or more volatile markets carry tighter limits, since liquidations there cost holders more in slippage. # Are Equity Perps halted when the underlying is halted? Source: https://help.arcus.xyz/faq/arcus-perps-faq/off-hours-24-7-trading/are-equity-perps-halted-when-the-underlying-is-halted No - they keep trading. The oracle holds the last pre-halt price, bands constrain price action, and funding snaps to its fixed off-hours rate (SOFR + 0.5%), preventing manipulation while the underlying can't be referenced. Normal funding and oracle calculation resume when the halt lifts. # Can I trade during a corporate action? Source: https://help.arcus.xyz/faq/arcus-perps-faq/off-hours-24-7-trading/can-i-trade-during-a-corporate-action For most actions, yes - adjustments apply the moment the oracle reflects the event. For actions that require settling a position (a delisting or completed M\&A), trading may pause on that market ahead of the effective date, with the pause window communicated in advance. # Do corporate actions affect Equity Perps? Source: https://help.arcus.xyz/faq/arcus-perps-faq/off-hours-24-7-trading/do-corporate-actions-affect-equity-perps Corporate actions are handled automatically at the protocol level. Splits adjust position size and entry price proportionally; M\&A and spin-offs trigger settlement or position adjustment depending on the deal. In future, cash dividends will be credited to longs and debited from shorts on the ex-date (currently, it is incumbent on market makers to price the perps price and funding to reflect dividend payments). # During a delisting, can I close my position? Source: https://help.arcus.xyz/faq/arcus-perps-faq/off-hours-24-7-trading/during-a-delisting-can-i-close-my-position Yes. Once a delisting is announced, you have a defined window to close voluntarily. After the effective date, any open positions settle automatically at the protocol level against the final reference price, paid in USD. The close window and settlement method for each delisting are published via @Arcus\_xyz beforehand. *** # How do I know when a corporate action affects my position? Source: https://help.arcus.xyz/faq/arcus-perps-faq/off-hours-24-7-trading/how-do-i-know-when-a-corporate-action-affects-my-position Through three channels: in-app notifications, email (if enabled), and @Arcus\_xyz announcements. Source: https://help.arcus.xyz/faq/arcus-perps-faq/off-hours-24-7-trading/how-do-price-bands-work-in-24-7-trading Outside of regular trading hours, trading bands are imposed around the last regular-hours mark price, preventing trades from executing outside of the price range ±0.5× the initial margin ratio on either side. If the order book pushes persistently (i.e. over one hour) against either the upper or lower bound of the trading band, the band will permit automatic expansions in progressive steps: 1×, then 2×, then 4× of initial margin - but only in the direction of pressure. This design permits genuine off-hours moves to be reflected in the price of the perpetual contract while protecting open positions from unwarranted or cascading liquidations in thin markets. For the full read on How Arcus Handles Equity Perpetuals during Off Hours, [see here](https://arcus.xyz/blog/how-arcus-handles-equity-perps-outside-regular-trading-hours). # What corporate actions does Arcus handle? Source: https://help.arcus.xyz/faq/arcus-perps-faq/off-hours-24-7-trading/what-corporate-actions-does-arcus-handle Cash dividends, stock dividends, splits, reverse splits, mergers, acquisitions, spin-offs, and delistings - all at the protocol level. Each is reflected in both the oracle price and an adjustment payment to open positions, preserving the underlying's total-return economics. No action is required from traders in the event of corporate actions. # What happens during off-market hours, weekends, and holidays? Source: https://help.arcus.xyz/faq/arcus-perps-faq/off-hours-24-7-trading/what-happens-during-off-market-hours-weekends-and-holidays Three things adjust automatically: * Initial margin rises 50% (maintenance margin unchanged) * Trading bands constrain price action * Funding snaps to a fixed rate (SOFR + 0.5%) until reopen. These rules apply to equities, commodity ETFs, and index ETFs; only crypto is unaffected.
These rules are driven by the trading hours of the underlying assets. US equity trading hours are typically  04:00–20:00 ET (pre- to post-market); Equity Perps and Stock Tokens stay tradeable throughout. * The change in margin & the trading bands guard against potential manipulation when liquidity is thinner, by making it costlier for a potential attacker to move the market. * The funding snaps to a fixed rate because there is no reliable external price to anchor to. For the full read on How Arcus Handles Equity Perpetuals during Off Hours, [see here](https://arcus.xyz/blog/how-arcus-handles-equity-perps-outside-regular-trading-hours). # What is the mark price? Source: https://help.arcus.xyz/faq/arcus-perps-faq/oracle-index-mark-price/what-is-the-mark-price The mark price is a smoothed price used to mark the value of perpetual contracts positions to market for the purpose of liquidations and unrealized PnL. By smoothing the oracle price with an exponential weighted moving average, the mark price is designed to prevent triggering of liquidations on brief order-book noise or manipulation. When trading, you will see both the last traded price and the mark price; liquidations and PnL always use the mark price. The oracle price calculation depends on the market & time: * For markets with live oracles (e.g. Crypto, US Equity Perps during market hours), the mark price is the average of the two components below, clamped at +/- 1% the oracle price: * Oracle price, plus the 2.5-minute EWMA of the difference between the perp impact mid and oracle price * Median of last trade price, best bid and best ask. When no oracle is available (e.g. US Equity Perps overnight & over weekends), the mark price is a 2.5-minute EWMA of the perp impact mid price. # What is the oracle price? Source: https://help.arcus.xyz/faq/arcus-perps-faq/oracle-index-mark-price/what-is-the-oracle-price The oracle price is the live reference price for the asset underlying a perpetual futures contract. The oracle price is used for two purposes. First, the premium component of the funding rate is measured by comparing the perpetual contract price to the oracle price. Second, the oracle price is used to anchor the mark price for liquidations during regular trading hours. # What sources are used to provide oracle prices? Source: https://help.arcus.xyz/faq/arcus-perps-faq/oracle-index-mark-price/what-sources-are-used-to-provide-oracle-prices The primary source feed used by Arcus for the oracle price is Pyth Pro, an external service that aggregates high-frequency price feeds from a broad and decentralized collection of publishers. Learn more about Pyth [here](https://app.pyth.com/explore). # Why are the last price and mark price different? Source: https://help.arcus.xyz/faq/arcus-perps-faq/oracle-index-mark-price/why-are-the-last-price-and-mark-price-different The last price is the most recent trade and can move on a single small order; the mark is smoothed to prevent unfair liquidations from one-off prints. They align under normal liquidity but can briefly diverge during volatility, thin books, or suspected manipulation - a deliberate protection for open positions. # Can I cancel all my orders or place orders in bulk? Source: https://help.arcus.xyz/faq/arcus-perps-faq/order-types-execution/can-i-cancel-all-my-orders-or-place-orders-in-bulk Yes - the API supports batch placement, batch cancel/modify, and cancel-all (optionally scoped to one market), a useful kill switch for market makers and systematic traders. # Do you support TWAP, trailing stops, or OCO orders? Source: https://help.arcus.xyz/faq/arcus-perps-faq/order-types-execution/do-you-support-twap-trailing-stops-or-oco-orders These order types are not supported at launch. TWAP, trailing stops, and OCO (one-cancels-the-other) are on the roadmap. # How do I cancel an order? Source: https://help.arcus.xyz/faq/arcus-perps-faq/order-types-execution/how-do-i-cancel-an-order Cancel any individual order from the order panel; it's confirmed once the matching engine processes it. # How do I modify an order? Source: https://help.arcus.xyz/faq/arcus-perps-faq/order-types-execution/how-do-i-modify-an-order From the order panel - adjust price, size, or trigger. Order modifications that increase order size or modify price are processed as cancel-and-replace, so the modified order joins the queue at its new price level. Order modifications that decrease order size and maintain price will maintain their price-time priority on the order book. # How do I open and close a position? Source: https://help.arcus.xyz/faq/arcus-perps-faq/order-types-execution/how-do-i-open-and-close-a-position Open a position by placing a buy (long) or sell (short). A market order can be placed to trade immediately at the best available price, or a limit order can be placed to specify a worst price for execution or for a resting order. Once your trade has filled, you will hold an open, margined position. Close your position by trading the opposite direction for the same size, or with a reduce-only, take-profit, or stop-loss order for more control and/or automatic triggering. Perpetual positions on Arcus within the same account are automatically netted so that opposing buy/sell trades will reduce existing positions when applicable before opening a new position. # Is there an anti-MEV mechanism? Source: https://help.arcus.xyz/faq/arcus-perps-faq/order-types-execution/is-there-an-anti-mev-mechanism Yes. Orders are queued and matched first-come-first-serve by Arcus's off-chain matching engine and only the resulting fills settle on-chain, so there's no public mempool for searchers to front-run or sandwich, and no per-order gas to bid up. A taker speed bump on order entry further limits latency-arbitrage advantages. *** # What is a reduce-only order? Source: https://help.arcus.xyz/faq/arcus-perps-faq/order-types-execution/what-is-a-reduce-only-order An order marked as reduce-only can only decrease an existing position - it will never flip or add to an open position. If it would increase the position (or the position is closed), the order is cancelled. The reduce-only flag provides traders with a safe way to take profit or stop out a position, and is available on limit, market, and stop / TP-SL orders. # What order types are supported at launch? Source: https://help.arcus.xyz/faq/arcus-perps-faq/order-types-execution/what-order-types-are-supported-at-launch * **Market orders**: Immediate fill at the best available price; fast, but subject to slippage in thin or fast markets (expected and max slippage shown before you submit). * **Limit orders**: Fills at your price or better, resting until matched or cancelled; passive fills that rest on the book can earn maker rebates upon matching. * **Stop-market / stop-limit orders**: Activates when the mark price crosses your trigger, then executes as a market order (stop-market) or places a limit (stop-limit). Triggers on the mark price, not the last price, to avoid triggering on stray prints. * **Take-profit / stop-loss**: Conditional orders that close a position when the mark hits a target or threshold; attach to an open position or set at entry. Also mark-price-based. # What's the maximum order size? Source: https://help.arcus.xyz/faq/arcus-perps-faq/order-types-execution/what-s-the-maximum-order-size No protocol-level maximum. The practical limit is dependent upon the margin available in your account. # What's the minimum order size? Source: https://help.arcus.xyz/faq/arcus-perps-faq/order-types-execution/what-s-the-minimum-order-size Varies by market, denominated in the underlying asset. The interface shows the minimum tick and order size per market; specifics are in the Arcus docs. # What time-in-force options are supported? Source: https://help.arcus.xyz/faq/arcus-perps-faq/order-types-execution/what-time-in-force-options-are-supported On each order you can set a time-in-force: * **GTC** (good til canceled - rests on the book until canceled) * **IOC** (immediate-or-cancel - fills whatever it can now, cancels the rest) * **FOK** (fill-or-kill - fills in full immediately or cancels entirely) * **Post-only** (limit order that will match only as maker, rejected if it would cross the book and take, so it is always eligible for the maker fee rate or rebate). # Why did my order partially fill? Source: https://help.arcus.xyz/faq/arcus-perps-faq/order-types-execution/why-did-my-order-partially-fill Only part of your size matched the liquidity available at your price. The rest rests on the book at the same price (limit orders) or fills at the next available price within your slippage tolerance (market orders). Partial fills are normal and mean your price was at or near the best available level. # Why didn't my order fill? Source: https://help.arcus.xyz/faq/arcus-perps-faq/order-types-execution/why-didn-t-my-order-fill Common reasons: the limit price was never reached; the order fell outside the active price band and was rejected at submission; it was cancelled before matching; or there was insufficient margin. The interface and order history show the specific reason in each case. # Are there partial liquidations? Source: https://help.arcus.xyz/faq/arcus-perps-faq/risk-liquidations/are-there-partial-liquidations Yes. Where conditions allow, the engine reduces position size gradually rather than closing it all at once - just enough to bring equity back above maintenance, preserving as much of your exposure as possible. Full liquidation happens only when partial reduction isn't enough or conditions require immediate closure. # Are there socialized losses? Source: https://help.arcus.xyz/faq/arcus-perps-faq/risk-liquidations/are-there-socialized-losses Arcus is designed to avoid them, through the insurance fund and ADL. In normal operation, solvent traders aren't exposed to others' losses. In extreme conditions where both the fund and book liquidity are exhausted, ADL absorbs the residual against the highest-ranked profitable counterparties - a structured mechanism, not pro-rata socialization across all accounts. # How are ADL counterparties chosen? Source: https://help.arcus.xyz/faq/arcus-perps-faq/risk-liquidations/how-are-adl-counterparties-chosen Positions are ranked for selection as an ADL counterparty according to an algorithm that takes into account profit, size, and leverage. # How does liquidation work? Source: https://help.arcus.xyz/faq/arcus-perps-faq/risk-liquidations/how-does-liquidation-work When Margin Ratio reaches 100% (account equity falls below maintenance margin), the liquidation engine attempts to close positions in the account against the order book at a protective, bankruptcy-bounded limit price. Fills can be partial - any unclosed remainder is re-attempted on subsequent oracle updates, so if your equity recovers above maintenance the position stays open. If the book can't absorb the position, the account's positions and margin will be wholly taken over by the backstop liquidity layer with any deficits covered by the insurance fund, and - only as a last resort - auto-deleveraging (ADL) will be used to offset positions against opposite-side positions held by other traders. # How is ADL triggered? Source: https://help.arcus.xyz/faq/arcus-perps-faq/risk-liquidations/how-is-adl-triggered An ADL may be triggered only when an account is extremely unhealthy and the position could not be closed through other means (book liquidation or backstop liquidation). # How is my liquidation price calculated? Source: https://help.arcus.xyz/faq/arcus-perps-faq/risk-liquidations/how-is-my-liquidation-price-calculated Liquidation on Arcus is determined by Margin Ratio which uses the Mark Price to calculate. When an account's Margin Ratio reaches 100%, its equity has fallen to its maintenance requirement and liquidation occurs. Below 100%, positions remain open regardless of what the account's buying power looks like. Two inputs sit behind that number. Maintenance margin, shown in dollars on the account panel, is the collateral required to keep current positions open. Account equity is what stands against it. Margin Ratio rises when equity falls or when positions grow, and only then. Neither input carries the off-hours surcharge: the 50% increase applies to initial margin, which governs opening positions, not keeping them. Adequately margined positions are not pushed toward liquidation simply because the underlying market is closed. Crypto perps have no off-hours regime at all; their margin requirements are the same at every hour. Read together, the off-hours design is deliberately conservative about new risk during thinner liquidity while leaving existing positions untouched. Margin Ratio, and the distance between mark price and liquidation price on each position, are the numbers that describe safety, and neither is affected by the transition into or out of regular trading hours. # How is the insurance fund capitalized? Source: https://help.arcus.xyz/faq/arcus-perps-faq/risk-liquidations/how-is-the-insurance-fund-capitalized A portion of the spread from efficient, profitable liquidations is paid to the insurance fund during backstop liquidations (when book liquidity is insufficient). The exchange is responsible for ensuring proper capitalization of the insurance fund, sizing it according to open interest, margin parameters, backstop capacity, and historical volatility. # I think my liquidation was wrong - how do I dispute it? Support reviews the event against matching-engine logs and on-chain settlement records. Liquidations triggered correctly per protocol rules - including ones you disagree with on directional grounds - can't be reversed. Where a protocol-level error is found, remediation follows the published remediation policy. *** # Is there a liquidation fee? Source: https://help.arcus.xyz/faq/arcus-perps-faq/risk-liquidations/is-there-a-liquidation-fee There is currently no fee charged to traders on liquidation orders. Note, however, that if an unhealthy account cannot be closed against book liquidity, the account's positions and margin will be fully taken over by the backstop liquidity layer and zeroed out for the trader. # What happens after I'm liquidated? Source: https://help.arcus.xyz/faq/arcus-perps-faq/risk-liquidations/what-happens-after-i-m-liquidated Positions in your account are closed one at a time until account margin returns above the maintenance requirement. Any positions and collateral that remain will stay in your account to trade or withdraw. In the case where positions can only be closed at prices that would bring the account to a negative net balance, any shortfall is covered by the exchange's insurance fund. In the course of any liquidations of your account you will receive notifications and trade records with the execution price and size of any liquidations. # What if the insurance fund is depleted? Source: https://help.arcus.xyz/faq/arcus-perps-faq/risk-liquidations/what-if-the-insurance-fund-is-depleted Ultimately if the insurance fund is depleted and unhealthy positions cannot be closed efficiently against the book or backstop liquidity, ADL counterparties may incur losses during auto-deleveraging events in order to maintain the solvency of the exchange and avoid socialized losses. Depletion of the insurance fund is rare and reflects extreme conditions; the exchange is responsible for sizing the fund to absorb stress events under expected operating conditions. # What is auto-deleveraging (ADL)? Source: https://help.arcus.xyz/faq/arcus-perps-faq/risk-liquidations/what-is-auto-deleveraging-adl ADLs provide a last-line solvency mechanism that closes unhealthy positions against traders with winning positions on the opposite side of a trade. ADLs may occur when book liquidity and backstop liquidity are insufficient to close out unhealthy positions. As long as funds are available in the insurance fund, the insurance fund will continue to cover any shortfalls in account margin, even in the case of ADLs. # What is liquidation? Source: https://help.arcus.xyz/faq/arcus-perps-faq/risk-liquidations/what-is-liquidation The protocol-managed closing of a position when your collateral falls below maintenance margin. It protects the protocol and other traders from positions that can no longer cover their losses Liquidations trigger off of changes in the mark price, which is designed to avoid unfair triggering of liquidations on stray prints. # What is the insurance fund? Source: https://help.arcus.xyz/faq/arcus-perps-faq/risk-liquidations/what-is-the-insurance-fund A protocol-managed reserve that pays out counterparties for liquidations that may otherwise be unprofitable, shielding all traders on the exchange from socialized losses. The insurance fund ensures that unhealthy positions can be closed in an orderly way with sufficient incentives for backstop liquidity providers. # Can I hedge a Stock Token position with an Equity Perp? Source: https://help.arcus.xyz/faq/arcus-perps-faq/the-basics/can-i-hedge-a-stock-token-position-with-an-equity-perp You can hold both at once - a long Stock Token (spot, in your wallet) and a short Equity Perp on the same underlying - which expresses a hedge or basis view economically. At launch, though, the Stock Token does not serve as collateral for the perp: only USDG is accepted as perp collateral, so each leg is funded independently (a long AMZN token gives you no margin toward an AMZN perp). Using Stock Tokens as perp collateral - true cross-collateralized, capital-efficient hedging under portfolio margin - is planned for a later release. # Can I test Arcus Perps? Source: https://help.arcus.xyz/faq/arcus-perps-faq/the-basics/can-i-test-arcus-perps Yes, please go to [testnet.arcus.xyz](http://testnet.arcus.xyz). Source: https://help.arcus.xyz/faq/arcus-perps-faq/the-basics/can-i-trade-equity-perps-when-the-underlying-market-is-closed Yes. 24/7, including weekends and holidays. Outside US market hours, funding is fixed at the off-hours financing rate (SOFR + 0.5%), and trading bands are enforced to guard against unwarranted liquidations. Normal funding payments resume when the underlying market reopens. # Can I use Stock Tokens as collateral for perp positions? Source: https://help.arcus.xyz/faq/arcus-perps-faq/the-basics/can-i-use-stock-tokens-as-collateral-for-perp-positions This is planned: Stock Tokens are intended to be usable as collateral for Arcus perpetuals under portfolio margin, enabling strategies such as holding a Stock Token while shorting the corresponding perp. It is not available at launch; it's targeted for the end of August. # How do Equity Perps stay aligned with the underlying stock price? Source: https://help.arcus.xyz/faq/arcus-perps-faq/the-basics/how-do-equity-perps-stay-aligned-with-the-underlying-stock-price An Equity Perp trades in its own order book, so its price can drift from the stock's, and the funding rate pulls it back. When the perp trades above the stock's reference price, longs pay shorts; when it trades below, shorts pay longs. That makes the richer side costlier to hold, so traders are continuously paid to close the gap, and with no expiry to force convergence, funding is what keeps the two in line. While the US market is open, the reference is the stock's live price. When it's closed (overnight, weekends, holidays), there's no live price to track, so the perp trades on where the market expects the stock to reopen, with funding on a fixed financing rate until it does (see *How are funding rates calculated?*). When the underlying reopens, the live reference returns and re-anchors the perp. # How does an Equity Perp differ from a Stock Token? Source: https://help.arcus.xyz/faq/arcus-perps-faq/the-basics/how-does-an-equity-perp-differ-from-a-stock-token A Stock Token gives you (1:1) spot exposure to the underlying asset, redeemable for the asset's cash value through the issuer (Bitstamp BVI). In contrast, an Equity Perpetual is a derivative contract with leveraged price exposure - long or short, up to 50x - to the underlying asset. A trader may use a perpetual contract to take a directional view, hedge, or trade with leverage; whereas the same trader may use a Stock Token for straightforward exposure to the share price without margin or leverage. Arcus offers both in one account. # How is an Equity Perp settled? Source: https://help.arcus.xyz/faq/arcus-perps-faq/the-basics/how-is-an-equity-perp-settled A perpetual contract never expires, so it has no settlement or delivery date. Profit and loss accrue continuously according to the contract mark price and are used to recalculate account health and free collateral in real time, relative to margin requirements. # What is a perpetual future? Source: https://help.arcus.xyz/faq/arcus-perps-faq/the-basics/what-is-a-perpetual-future A perpetual future ("perp") gives long or short exposure to an asset's price with no expiry. Unlike a traditional futures contract, it does not settle or expire, so you can hold it as long as you like to maintain exposure to the underlying. Periodic funding payments help to keep the price of the perpetual tethered to the underlying: when the perp trades above the underlying, longs pay shorts; below, shorts pay longs. # What is an Equity Perpetual? Source: https://help.arcus.xyz/faq/arcus-perps-faq/the-basics/what-is-an-equity-perpetual An Equity Perpetual is a perpetual future that provides long or short exposure to a stock or other equity. Unlike traditional stock futures, Equity Perps don't roll or settle on a fixed date - you can hold a position indefinitely, with periodic funding payments helping to keep the contract price aligned with the underlying. Equity Perps on Arcus give leveraged exposure to the price of stocks like NVDA or TSLA, 24/7. # Why trade Equity Perps instead of Stock Tokens? Source: https://help.arcus.xyz/faq/arcus-perps-faq/the-basics/why-trade-equity-perps-instead-of-stock-tokens Perps add leverage, capital efficiency, and the ability to go short - supporting directional, hedging, and leveraged strategies. Stock Tokens give straightforward spot exposure with the option of redemption for cash value. Arcus offers both, so they can be used together - though at launch a Stock Token isn't yet usable as perp collateral. # Are there gas fees on Arcus Spot? Source: https://help.arcus.xyz/faq/arcus-spot-faq/fees-limits-records/are-there-gas-fees-on-spot-swaps Yes. Source: https://help.arcus.xyz/faq/arcus-spot-faq/fees-limits-records/do-rfq-trades-carry-the-same-fee-schedule-as-perps-or-a-separate-spot-schedule No. Spot and perps are independent. At launch, spot trading carries no Arcus fee; the perp fee schedule stands separately and is available on Arcus, under your Portfolio tab. *** # What does it cost? Source: https://help.arcus.xyz/faq/arcus-spot-faq/fees-limits-records/what-does-it-cost At launch, nothing - no Arcus trading fee; network fees apply to all spot trades and are paid in ETH on Robinhood Chain. The all-in price is in your quote before you confirm, so the number you see is the number you get, down to your slippage floor. # I got "no quotes available." Source: https://help.arcus.xyz/faq/arcus-spot-faq/if-something-goes-wrong/i-got-no-quotes-available No market maker had a price for that token and size at that moment - for example, a quiet market or a very large size. Source: https://help.arcus.xyz/faq/arcus-spot-faq/if-something-goes-wrong/i-traded-but-don-t-see-my-token-yet The trade requires an on-chain confirmation, the app displays its status. Source: https://help.arcus.xyz/faq/arcus-spot-faq/if-something-goes-wrong/my-trade-didn-t-go-through-did-i-lose-money No. If a trade doesn't go through, nothing moves and funds stay in your wallet. Common causes: an expired quote, the price moving past your slippage setting, or insufficient balance. Request a fresh quote and retry. # The price keeps changing when I refresh. Source: https://help.arcus.xyz/faq/arcus-spot-faq/if-something-goes-wrong/the-price-keeps-changing-when-i-refresh This is normal - quotes are live and time-limited. Your price is locked in only when you confirm. # How is my price set? Source: https://help.arcus.xyz/faq/arcus-spot-faq/prices-quotes/how-is-my-price-set When you request a trade, Arcus polls the best available price across market makers and returns an estimated quote. Signing approves an intent rather than a locked price. Execution can settle slightly better or worse than the estimate, but never worse than the minimum that you agreed to (i.e. your slippage tolerance). # What is slippage? Source: https://help.arcus.xyz/faq/arcus-spot-faq/prices-quotes/what-is-slippage Slippage is the difference between the estimated quote and the amount actually received in fast-moving markets. You set your tolerance when you trade: a tighter setting may increase the likelihood of a trade failing to execute due to market price movements. # Why does my quote expire? Source: https://help.arcus.xyz/faq/arcus-spot-faq/prices-quotes/why-does-my-quote-expire A quote is a live estimated price held for a few seconds. If it lapses before signing, a fresh quote can be requested. The expiry exists to prevent execution against a stale price. # Why is the quote different from the price on a stock chart? Source: https://help.arcus.xyz/faq/arcus-spot-faq/prices-quotes/why-is-the-quote-different-from-the-price-on-a-stock-chart A chart shows a reference price with no size behind it and no guarantee of execution at that level. A quote is an executable estimate for the trader's exact size at that instant, inclusive of the maker's spread. # Why might the token price differ from the real stock price? Source: https://help.arcus.xyz/faq/arcus-spot-faq/prices-quotes/why-might-the-token-price-differ-from-the-real-stock-price The token tracks the underlying, but the executable price reflects live supply and demand: it includes the maker's spread, widens outside US hours, and moves with order size as larger orders consume more liquidity. A chart price is a mid or last price with no size and no execution guarantee. *** # Can I move my Stock Tokens to another wallet? Source: https://help.arcus.xyz/faq/arcus-spot-faq/stock-tokens/can-i-move-my-stock-tokens-to-another-wallet Yes. Stock Tokens are self-custodied and can be held, transferred, or withdrawn to another wallet, subject to two limits: transfers to sanctioned addresses are blocked, and token transfers may be restricted for a short period of time following their purchase (the settlement period: \~5-15 minutes). # Can I redeem a Stock Token for the actual share? Source: https://help.arcus.xyz/faq/arcus-spot-faq/stock-tokens/can-i-redeem-a-stock-token-for-the-actual-share No, a Stock Token cannot be redeemed for the underlying share. Each Stock Token carries a contractual right to redeem with the issuer for the cash market value of the linked security. # Do I get dividends? Source: https://help.arcus.xyz/faq/arcus-spot-faq/stock-tokens/do-i-get-dividends Stock Token holders are exposed to the economic effect of dividends without receiving any dividends directly. A declared dividend on an underlying asset will not be paid out to token holders directly. Instead, the monetary value of a dividend payment is reinvested in the underlying stock backing the token, and your displayed balance is adjusted accordingly. This effect is executed globally for the Stock Token via an on-chain oracle, and no action is required on the part of token holders. # Do I get voting rights? Source: https://help.arcus.xyz/faq/arcus-spot-faq/stock-tokens/do-i-get-voting-rights No. Voting rights on the underlying share are not passed through to token holders. Stock Tokens are designed for economic exposure, not corporate governance participation. # Do I own the actual stock? Source: https://help.arcus.xyz/faq/arcus-spot-faq/stock-tokens/do-i-own-the-actual-stock When you hold a Stock Token, you hold a contractual claim to a linked security, held in custody by the token issuer. The token confers rights to the cash value of the underlying asset, but it does not confer all of the same rights as traditional securities, such as voting rights or cash dividends. The economic value of dividends are conferred to the token holder through other means (described below). # How are Stock Tokens different from traditional stocks? Source: https://help.arcus.xyz/faq/arcus-spot-faq/stock-tokens/how-are-stock-tokens-different-from-traditional-stocks Stock Tokens trade on-chain and non-custodially, are gasless and fractional, and settle in seconds, held in the trader's wallet rather than a brokerage account. The trade-offs relative to a registered share include the absence of voting rights, with dividends delivered through the token's value rather than as separate cash, and dependence on redemption or on-chain liquidity to realize value. Stock Tokens also involve the traditional trade-offs that come with self-custody, including the need to maintain security over your wallet’s private keys. # What about stock splits? Source: https://help.arcus.xyz/faq/arcus-spot-faq/stock-tokens/what-about-stock-splits Stock splits are effectuated via on-chain oracle updates that modify the displayed token balance of all holders of a Stock Token, the same mechanism as dividends. No action is required on the part of token holders. # What are Stock Tokens? Source: https://help.arcus.xyz/faq/arcus-spot-faq/stock-tokens/what-are-stock-tokens A Stock Token is an ERC-20 digital asset carrying a contractual right to redeem with the issuer for the cash (market) value of a linked security - a stock, commodity, or index ETF. It tracks the security's price (including reinvested dividends) and is backed by the issuer's reserves of the underlying, or cash/equivalents when the underlying is on loan. It gives economic exposure to the underlying and can be self-custodied and transferred on-chain. # What happens during a trading halt on the underlying? Source: https://help.arcus.xyz/faq/arcus-spot-faq/stock-tokens/what-happens-during-a-trading-halt-on-the-underlying The Stock Token keeps trading on Arcus, the venue doesn't halt with the underlying. Source: https://help.arcus.xyz/faq/arcus-spot-faq/stock-tokens/what-s-the-roadmap-for-new-markets New tokenized equity markets will be added on a rolling basis after launch, following three vectors: deeper US equity coverage, international equity coverage, and additional asset classes. Pacing is governed by anchor market maker readiness and risk parameter approvals. New markets are announced ahead of activation through @Arcus\_xyz and the Arcus website. *** # Who issues the Stock Tokens? Source: https://help.arcus.xyz/faq/arcus-spot-faq/the-basics/how-is-spot-trading-different-from-trading-perpetual-futures-perps Spot leaves you holding the token with direct exposure to the underlying, no leverage, and no ongoing obligations. In contrast, a perpetual future is a leveraged, margined position with funding and liquidation risk, used to go long or short on the price of the underlying asset. In brief - spot trading is for holding an asset; perps are for trading its price with leverage. Arcus offers both. # How is the price set when the US market is closed? Source: https://help.arcus.xyz/faq/arcus-spot-faq/the-basics/how-is-the-price-set-when-the-us-market-is-closed Stock Tokens stay tradeable outside US hours, but pricing depends on active market makers: spreads are tightest when US markets are open and typically widen when the underlying can't be freshly sourced - a thin name may briefly return no quote. Whatever the hour, the quoted price is firm the moment you confirm. **Availability varies by name:** some trade continuously, weekends included; others trade around the clock on weekdays but aren't quoted over the weekend at launch, with coverage expanding toward 24/7 over time. **Equity Perpetuals trade 24/7** regardless of the underlying asset's trading hours. # What can I trade? Source: https://help.arcus.xyz/faq/general-faq/general/how-is-arcus-different-from-a-cex * **Non custodial:** Users retain control of their funds at all times, minimizing exchange solvency and counterparty risks. * **Asset access:** One account spans Stock Tokens (on-chain instruments 1:1 backed by the underlying equity) and cross-margined perps across equities, crypto, commodities, and indices, all settled on-chain. * **Transparency:** Trade executions, liquidations, and insurance fund balances are validated by a high performance blockchain, and publicly auditable in real time. # How is Arcus different from CFD (contract for difference) platforms? Source: https://help.arcus.xyz/faq/general-faq/general/how-is-arcus-different-from-cfd-contract-for-difference-platforms CFD brokers are the counterparty: you trade against the broker's book, exposing you to potential conflicts of interest. On Arcus you trade against an order book and other participants. CFDs also run within regular hours and cap retail leverage around 5:1. Arcus runs 24/7, with up to 50x leverage. # How is Arcus different from other DEXes? Source: https://help.arcus.xyz/faq/general-faq/general/how-is-arcus-different-from-other-dexes * **Purpose-built for performance**: The Arcus exchange was designed to reliably offer 20ms confirmation time for 100k+ orders per second, all without compromising the security and transparency benefits offered by public blockchains. * **Protocol-native liquidity**: Arcus perps trade on a central limit order book with committed market makers; Stock Token spot trades execute via RFQ on the same blockchain network. Liquidity is unified at the protocol level rather than fragmented across builder-deployed markets, vaults, or permissionless tiers, so depth concentrates as the venue scales. * **Direct exposure to equities**: most on-chain venues offer no equity exposure; Arcus lists Equity Perps alongside crypto, commodities, and indices. * **Backed Stock Tokens**: backed by real shares held in regulated custody, redeemable with Bitstamp for cash value, rather than purely synthetic oracle constructions. * **Robinhood as strategic partner**: a strategic investment via Robinhood Crypto, and Arcus built on Robinhood Chain, Robinhood's own layer-2 blockchain. # How is Arcus different from tokenized stock issuers (Backed, Ondo, Swarm)? Source: https://help.arcus.xyz/faq/general-faq/general/how-is-arcus-different-from-tokenized-stock-issuers-backed-ondo-swarm Issuers create the tokens; Arcus lets you trade them. Arcus is a venue, not an issuer. It facilitates Stock Token trading and adds perpetuals on top. The two layers are complementary. # What is Arcus? Source: https://help.arcus.xyz/faq/general-faq/general/what-is-arcus Arcus is a decentralized exchange built on Robinhood Chain. Users from eligible jurisdictions get one self-custodied account to trade Stock Tokens (spot, zero fees, 24/7), and cross-margined perpetual futures across equities, crypto, commodities, and indices - 24/7, with up to 50x leverage. # Who is Arcus designed for? Source: https://help.arcus.xyz/faq/general-faq/general/who-is-arcus-designed-for Arcus is designed for traders who want direct access to global markets, with leveraged access through perps (equities, crypto, commodities ETFs and index ETFs,) and spot exposure through Stock Tokens. If you've been limited by trading hours, geography, or what your platform lists, Arcus is built for you. # Are markets truly 24/7? Source: https://help.arcus.xyz/faq/general-faq/markets/are-markets-truly-24-7 Yes. Markets trade 24/7, including overnight, weekends, and holidays. Liquidity is deepest when the underlying market is open (US hours for US markets) and can thin outside those windows, resulting in wider spreads. Perps trade continuously too: for any perp whose underlying has set hours (equities, commodity ETFs, index ETFs), when that market closes, funding moves to a fixed off-hours rate (SOFR + 0.5%), initial margin requirement rises, and price bands limit off-hours moves to curb liquidation cascades. Only crypto perps run with no off-hours regime - funding stays live around the clock. # How is liquidity sourced at launch? Source: https://help.arcus.xyz/faq/general-faq/markets/how-is-liquidity-sourced-at-launch From anchor market makers quoting directly on the matching engine - not retail liquidity providers (LPs) in vaults, builder-deployed markets, or permissionless tiers. Depth is unified at the protocol level per asset, so it concentrates as the venue scales rather than fragmenting. Robinhood Chain's liquidity infrastructure supports the Equity Perp side; professional market makers anchor the crypto and commodity books. # What can I trade on Arcus? Source: https://help.arcus.xyz/faq/general-faq/self-custody-security/can-arcus-or-robinhood-chain-freeze-or-seize-my-stock-tokens Arcus is non-custodial and can't move or seize the real Stock Tokens you self-custody. Two narrow exceptions: network-level compliance blocks transfers to sanctioned addresses, and a wrapped placeholder can be force-settled to the real token (which only delivers what you're owed, never taking value). # Have the smart contracts been audited? Source: https://help.arcus.xyz/faq/general-faq/self-custody-security/have-the-smart-contracts-been-audited Yes - OpenZeppelin and Trail of Bits completed auditing the contracts ahead of launch, with reports published on the Arcus docs site as well as here: * [Open Zeppelin Audit Report](https://www.openzeppelin.com/news/arcus-rootchain-contracts-audit?hs_preview=JzCldETW-216262321672) * [Trail of Bits Audit Report](https://github.com/trailofbits/publications/blob/master/reviews/2026-06-arcuslabs-rootchain-securityreview.pdf) # How is Arcus built? Source: https://help.arcus.xyz/faq/general-faq/self-custody-security/how-is-arcus-built Spot trades execute directly on Robinhood Chain: each order draws on two liquidity sources - an RFQ system pulling quotes from market makers and a proprietary AMM - and fills at the best price, settling on-chain. Perps use a hybrid design: a fast off-chain order book, secured by a dedicated app-specific chain (appchain) whose independent validators re-verify every block, including each state transition and the signatures on orders, withdrawals, and oracle prices. Custody and final settlement sit on Robinhood Chain, an EVM L2 that inherits Ethereum's security. It's the same hybrid model dYdX v3 ran on StarkEx. # Is Arcus non-custodial? Source: https://help.arcus.xyz/faq/general-faq/self-custody-security/is-arcus-non-custodial Yes. Arcus never holds your funds or keys. Spot trades settle directly between wallets on-chain. For perps, collateral sits in smart contracts on Robinhood Chain, not with Arcus or any operator, and moves only under conditions you authorize. The perps engine has no unilateral power over your funds. # Is There Proof of Reserves? Source: https://help.arcus.xyz/faq/general-faq/self-custody-security/is-there-proof-of-reserves The issuer's reserves are intended to be publicly attestable, and wrapped supply + escrow balances are verifiable on-chain in real time. # Where do my funds and positions actually live? Source: https://help.arcus.xyz/faq/general-faq/self-custody-security/where-do-my-funds-and-positions-actually-live **Spot:** your assets stay in your self-custodial wallet. **Perps:** final settlement is in audited smart contracts on Robinhood Chain, while the off-chain engine and validator-secured appchain handle matching and consensus. Your assets are always secured by the on-chain contracts and controlled by your keys, never by the operator. # Is Arcus owned by Robinhood? Source: https://help.arcus.xyz/faq/general-faq/the-robinhood-partnership/is-arcus-owned-by-robinhood No. Arcus is an independent DEX. Robinhood is a strategic partner with an investment via Robinhood Crypto. Eddie Zhang is CEO and founder, and the team operates independently. # What is the Robinhood partnership? Source: https://help.arcus.xyz/faq/general-faq/the-robinhood-partnership/why-robinhood-chain Robinhood Chain is purpose-built for trading and tokenized assets, delivering the low-latency performance Arcus needs while inheriting Ethereum L1 settlement security. It also gives Arcus access to the Chain’s  Stock Token infrastructure, which mints and redeems the Stock Tokens traded on Arcus. # Am I eligible? Source: https://help.arcus.xyz/faq/onboarding-faq/access-eligibility/am-i-eligible Eligibility is determined by region. Arcus is not available in the United States, United Kingdom, Canada and other restricted jurisdictions as detailed in the [Terms of Use](https://arcus.xyz/legal/protocol-terms). # How do I get an invite code? Source: https://help.arcus.xyz/faq/onboarding-faq/access-eligibility/how-do-i-get-an-invite-code There's no invite-code system. Spot needs no code - anyone eligible can trade Stock Tokens at launch. Perps access comes through the waitlist at [waitlist.arcus.xyz](http://waitlist.arcus.xyz), where existing users can refer you and priority follows the waitlist criteria. # When does access begin? Source: https://help.arcus.xyz/faq/onboarding-faq/access-eligibility/when-does-access-begin Arcus is live in Beta. Spot Beta is open now to all eligible users, no waitlist needed. Perps Beta opens July 1, 2026, starting with waitlisted users and rolling out by cohort, ahead of a full launch later in the year.  Join the[ waitlist ](http://waitlist.arcus.xyz)and we'll let you know when your cohort opens. Arcus isn't available in the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, or other restricted jurisdictions, as set out in the [Terms of Use](https://arcus.xyz/legal/protocol-terms). # Are there bridging fees? Source: https://help.arcus.xyz/faq/onboarding-faq/deposits/are-there-bridging-fees Yes. Bridging carries third-party network and bridge fees that vary by route and provider. Arcus compares routes and picks the best available rate at execution. The deposit and withdrawal interface shows the full breakdown - bridge fee, gas estimate, and total received - before you confirm, and Arcus adds no fee of its own on top of these costs. # Are there FX fees when I fund my account? Source: https://help.arcus.xyz/faq/onboarding-faq/deposits/are-there-fx-fees-when-i-fund-my-account It depends on how you fund. Arcus accounts hold USDG, so if you deposit USDG (or another stablecoin) there's no currency conversion. If you fund in a local currency, Fun converts it to USDG, and for most currencies charges no spread. The current exceptions, which do carry a spread, are the Kenyan shilling (KES), Rwandan franc (RWF), Zambian kwacha (ZMW), South African rand (ZAR), Nigerian naira (NGN), and Indian rupee (INR). Any conversion cost is shown before you confirm. # Can I fund my account in my local currency (e.g. EUR)? Source: https://help.arcus.xyz/faq/onboarding-faq/deposits/can-i-fund-my-account-in-my-local-currency-e-g-eur Yes. The app partners with Fun to provide a built-in fiat on/off ramp that converts your local currency to and from USDG, so you can fund and cash out without sourcing a stablecoin yourself and without FX fees. # How do I deposit funds? Source: https://help.arcus.xyz/faq/onboarding-faq/deposits/how-do-i-deposit-funds There are four ways to add them: connect your **Wallet**, **Transfer Crypto**, **Connect Exchange**, or **Use Cash**. Whichever you choose, your funds arrive as USDG, the stablecoin Arcus settles in. Here's how each route works, and what to expect. ### **What your funds arrive as: USDG** No matter how you fund the account, your balance ends up in USDG, so it's worth a quick word on what that is. Screenshot 2026 06 30 At 06 25 18 USDG, or Global Dollar, is a US-dollar stablecoin issued by Paxos. A stablecoin is a token designed to hold a steady value, and USDG is built to always be worth one US dollar. It's redeemable one-to-one for dollars and backed by cash and short-term US Treasuries held in segregated accounts. In practice, USDG behaves like a digital dollar in your account. Prices across Arcus are shown in US dollars, and your USDG balance is what you trade with. ### **1: Choose where your funds land** When you click Deposit, you'll pick a destination: your Spot account or your Perps account. Spot is for trading Stock Tokens. Perps is for trading perpetuals. The deposit screen labels these as USDG (Spot) and USDG (Perps). Pick whichever side you plan to trade first. You can move funds between the two later, so this isn't a permanent choice. Screenshot 2026 06 30 At 06 26 26 ### **Route 1: Wallet** If you've already connected a wallet, this is usually the simplest way to fund. On the deposit screen, your connected wallet appears under Connected, with its balance and an Instant tag, alongside the other crypto options. Screenshot 2026 06 30 At 06 27 49 Select your wallet, then pick the asset you want to deposit. Arcus shows everything you're holding, like USDG, ETH, and more. Enter an amount, or tap 25%, 50%, 75%, or Max, and you'll see exactly how much USDG you'll receive. Screenshot 2026 06 30 At 06 14 55 Screenshot 2026 06 30 At 06 15 07 Arcus then shows you a quote with an estimated time and a full transaction breakdown. Agree to the terms, confirm, and your funds land as USDG. Screenshot 2026 06 30 At 06 15 19 **How this differs from Transfer Crypto:** with Wallet, you don't copy an address or send anything by hand. You select an asset that's already in your connected wallet and approve a quoted conversion - the same way the exchange and cash routes work. For most people with a connected wallet, it's the quickest route. ### **Route 2: Transfer Crypto** If you'd rather send from somewhere else: another wallet, a hardware wallet, or anywhere you hold crypto, you can transfer to a deposit address. Choose the token you want to send and the chain it's on. Arcus supports the major ones, including Ethereum, Arbitrum, Base, Solana, and Bitcoin, across tokens like USDC, ETH, and BTC, and many more. Screenshot 2026 06 30 At 06 29 46 Arcus shows you a deposit address and a QR code. Send your crypto there, and it converts to USDG and lands in your account, usually within moments. Transfers are instant on most chains, with a small minimum deposit of around \$3. Some chains, like Ethereum and Bitcoin, have a higher minimum, so check the minimum shown on screen before you send. The conversion happens automatically, and the screen shows what you'll receive. ### **Route 3: Connect Exchange** If your funds are sitting on a centralized exchange, you can pull them straight across without a manual transfer. Connect your exchange account, and the funds move into Arcus as USDG. Coinbase is supported at launch, and the process takes about two minutes. Screenshot 2026 06 30 At 06 31 18 ### **Route 4: Use Cash** If you're starting from cash rather than crypto, you can fund directly. Arcus supports Apple Pay, Google Pay, a debit or credit card, and AstroPay. Choose an amount: with quick options like \$100, \$200, \$500, and \$1,000, or enter your own, and your payment is converted to USDG and deposited. Screenshot 2026 06 30 At 06 32 40 Before you confirm, Arcus shows you a quote: the amount, the conversion rate, and any processing fee, so there are no surprises. This is the simplest route if you've never held crypto before, it works like any online checkout. ### **The four routes at a glance** | **Route** | **Speed** | **Minimum** | **Best for** | | :- | :- | :- | :- | | Wallet | Instant | Low (varies by asset) | Anyone with a connected wallet — usually the easiest | | Transfer Crypto | Instant on most chains | Around \$3 on most chains | Sending from another wallet or address | | Connect Exchange | About two minutes | No set minimum | Funds on an exchange; Coinbase at launch | | Use Cash | Instant | Small amounts | Starting from regular money | ### **Fees and minimums** Arcus doesn't charge a deposit fee of its own. The costs you might see come from third parties, like a card processor or a blockchain network fee, and they're always shown upfront: in the quote or on the deposit screen, and before you confirm. Minimums are low: around \$3 to transfer crypto on most chains, and small amounts work fine for wallet and cash deposits too. ### **Moving funds between Spot and Perps** Once your funds are in, you're not stuck with the side you chose. Use the Perps and Spot toggle to shift USDG between your Spot and Perps accounts whenever you want. Fund once, trade either side. Screenshot 2026 06 30 At 06 36 03 ### **TL;DR** You can fund an Arcus account four ways: connect your Wallet and deposit an asset you already hold, Transfer Crypto to a deposit address from almost any major chain, Connect an Exchange like Coinbase, or Use Cash through Apple Pay, Google Pay, card, or AstroPay. Whichever you choose, your deposit converts to USDG, a US-dollar stablecoin, and lands in either your Spot or Perps account. Arcus charges no deposit fee of its own, minimums are low, and you can move funds between Spot and Perps anytime. (New here? Source: https://help.arcus.xyz/faq/onboarding-faq/deposits/how-long-do-deposits-take How long a deposit takes depends on the network you send it from, not on Arcus or Fun. From fast chains - Layer 2s like Arbitrum and Base, or Layer 1s like Solana - it's a matter of seconds. Ethereum mainnet is the slower case: its blocks arrive about every 12 seconds, and a transfer has to clear there before it credits. The estimated time for your route is shown before you confirm. # What are the fees to deposit with fiat? Source: https://help.arcus.xyz/faq/onboarding-faq/deposits/what-are-the-fees-to-deposit-with-fiat Fiat deposits go through the app's card/bank onramp; fees depend on the method and region and are always shown before you confirm. **Typical rates:** * cards, Apple Pay, and Google Pay \~2.1%; * bank transfer (SEPA) \~0.5%; * Revolut Pay \~1.1%; * Other wallets and vouchers (PayPal, Skrill, AstroPay, Paysafecard, etc.) are higher. Minimum \~\$3 per transaction; the maximum depends on your payment provider. # What can I deposit from, and how does it work? Go to [https://testnet.arcus.xyz/trade/perpetuals/BTC-USD](https://testnet.arcus.xyz/trade/perpetuals/BTC-USD) and connect the wallet (two steps to sign in the first time: 1) connect, and 2) sign a message. 3. Click 'Enable Trading', acknowledge the checkbox on the Terms of Use, and Confirm. This will prompt your wallet to sign another message which generates the API key for the frontend. 4. Click Testnet Deposit button in the upper right corner and this will create an actual transaction (prior wallet interactions did not create any transactions on-chain). Once confirmed (in a few seconds), you will see \$1000 in your balance. Lawrence2 # What wallets are supported? Source: https://help.arcus.xyz/faq/onboarding-faq/sign-in-wallets/what-wallets-are-supported Arcus supports two onboarding paths. **If you have a wallet:** connect an existing self-custodial wallet (MetaMask, WalletConnect, Phantom, Coinbase Wallet, and other major Ethereum-compatible wallets). WalletConnect extends coverage to most mobile wallets, and hardware wallets (Ledger, Trezor) connect through MetaMask. **If you're new to wallets:** use a built-in wallet from Privy, created with email or Apple sign-in. It's non-custodial, recovers through your sign-in rather than a seed phrase, and is built for traders coming from a brokerage app. Privy sets it up in the background. It's yours, and neither Arcus nor Privy can touch your funds. To get back in, sign in again with the same email or Apple ID. Want to move to self-custody like MetaMask later? You can. Your account isn't locked to Privy. Screenshot 2026 06 30 At 06 24 34 # Can I cancel a pending withdrawal? Source: https://help.arcus.xyz/faq/onboarding-faq/withdrawals/why-did-my-withdrawal-fail A withdrawal to your Robinhood Chain wallet should only fail if you don't have enough free collateral: for example, open positions or pending orders are using it as margin. Bridging to another chain can also fail for reasons outside Arcus, like destination-network congestion, bridge unavailability, or an unsupported chain or asset combination. The interface shows the specific reason. # Fee tiers are separate from referrals and apply to every trader Source: https://help.arcus.xyz/faq/referrals-fee-tiers-faq/fee-tiers-your-own-trading-fees/fee-tiers-are-separate-from-referrals-and-apply-to-every-trader Your trading fees fall automatically as your volume grows, whether or not you ever refer anyone. Source: https://help.arcus.xyz/untitled-page Quotes on Arcus come from market makers, and their pricing reflects how easily they can hedge the underlying stock at that moment. During US trading hours, most names quote with tight spreads. Outside those hours - overnight, weekends, and US market holidays - liquidity on certain markets is lower, so spreads widen and larger orders can see meaningful price impact. This affects some tokens more than others. Heavily traded names tend to stay liquid around the clock. Less-traded names are quoted more thinly off-hours, and sell quotes in particular may widen, since a market maker buying your tokens can't hedge the position until the underlying market reopens. In quiet markets a thin name may briefly show a very wide quote, or none at all. ## A few things that help: * The estimated quote is shown before you confirm, and execution never settles worse than your slippage tolerance - so review the quote and price impact before signing, especially off-hours. * For less-traded names, smaller trade sizes typically receive better pricing than one large order. * Pricing on thin names generally tightens when US markets reopen; if a quote looks unusually wide, checking again during US trading hours will usually show a better price. # What are the current beta fee discounts? Source: https://help.arcus.xyz/untitled-page-2 Two discounts apply to perpetual futures trading during beta, both automatic: Taker fees are [reduced by 50% at every tier](https://arcus.xyz/blog/arcus-perpetuals-taker-fees-halved-for-beta). Maker fees are [zero for Tiers 0 through 4](https://arcus.xyz/blog/arcus-perpetuals-maker-fees-zero-for-beta), with rebates at Tiers 5 and 6 unchanged. There is nothing to claim or activate - the discounted rates apply to every trade. Spot Stock Token trading is separate and already carries 0 Arcus fee. The full schedule, standard and beta rates side by side, is under What are the perp fee tiers?, and your live rates are always on your [Portfolio dashboard](https://app.arcus.xyz/portfolio). # What counts as "outside regular trading hours" (oRTH)? Source: https://help.arcus.xyz/what-counts-as-outside-regular-trading-hours-o-rth Arcus treats US extended hours as part of regular trading hours. That means: * **Regular hours:** 4AM to 8PM ET on US trading days - covering pre-market, the regular session, and after-hours. * **Outside regular hours (boost applies):** 8PM to 4AM ET overnight, plus weekends and US market holidays, on the markets that quote during those times. All windows are defined in US Eastern Time and adjust automatically for daylight saving - you don't need to convert or track the US clock change. Equity Perps trade 24/7 on every market; for spot, the most liquid Stock Tokens quote around the clock including weekends, while other listed names quote 24/5 and rest over the weekend. # Where can I learn more on API perps trading? Source: https://help.arcus.xyz/why-commodity-perps-are-based-on-ETFS-GLD-SLV-USO We aligned our perp offering with Robinhood’s tokenized stock offering (which includes GLD, SLV and USO) at launch. We believe this makes for a more intuitive experience for end users, and makes it easier to manage basis trades (and, eventually, loan margin) on the platform. We are considering introducing futures-based perps in the future but don’t have a timeline yet.
