# Are there FX fees when I fund my account?

It depends on how you fund. Arcus accounts hold USDG, so if you deposit USDG (or another stablecoin) there's no currency conversion.

If you fund in a local currency, Fun converts it to USDG, and for most currencies charges no spread.

The current exceptions, which do carry a spread, are the Kenyan shilling (KES), Rwandan franc (RWF), Zambian kwacha (ZMW), South African rand (ZAR), Nigerian naira (NGN), and Indian rupee (INR). Any conversion cost is shown before you confirm.
