# How is Arcus different from tokenized stock issuers (Backed, Ondo, Swarm)? 

Issuers create the tokens; Arcus lets you trade them. Arcus is a venue, not an issuer. It facilitates Stock Token trading and adds perpetuals on top. The two layers are complementary.
