# How is Arcus different from other DEXes?

* **Purpose-built for performance**: The Arcus exchange was designed to reliably offer 20ms confirmation time for 100k+ orders per second, all without compromising the security and transparency benefits offered by public blockchains.
* **Protocol-native liquidity**: Arcus perps trade on a central limit order book with committed market makers; Stock Token spot trades execute via RFQ on the same blockchain network. Liquidity is unified at the protocol level rather than fragmented across builder-deployed markets, vaults, or permissionless tiers, so depth concentrates as the venue scales.
* **Direct exposure to equities**: most on-chain venues offer no equity exposure; Arcus lists Equity Perps alongside crypto, commodities, and indices.
