# What happens during a trading halt on the underlying?

The Stock Token keeps trading on Arcus, the venue doesn't halt with the underlying. Price discovery then depends on market makers: during a halt, spreads can widen and a thin name may briefly return no quote, tightening back once the underlying resumes.
