# Are there partial liquidations?

Yes. Where conditions allow, the engine reduces position size gradually rather than closing it all at once - just enough to bring equity back above maintenance, preserving as much of your exposure as possible.

Full liquidation happens only when partial reduction isn't enough or conditions require immediate closure.
